Because the practice of family law involves the most personal aspects of an individual's life, it is important to select an attorney who can provide a
client with the utmost in personal attention, and who is available and
accessible when needed. Fred Silberberg prides himself on being
accessible to his clients and communicating with them on a regular and timely basis.
Fred's availability underscores his attentiveness to his client's emotional needs which is of primary importance in a family law context. Clearly, there are few times in an individual's life as stressful as the termination of
the marital relationship. Fred is involved in continuing education in
psychology and counseling, and brings the benefit of this knowledge to
his clients.
Certified Specialist in Family Law
Because of the increasing complexity of family law cases, and the fast pace at which the law affecting these cases changes, such matters should only
be handled by specialists. The State Bar of California has enacted a
program for certifying attorneys as specialists in a few fields; family law is
one of them. In order to obtain the specialization designation, an attorney must show proficiency in this area by having handled a sufficient number of cases with varying degrees of complexity. An attorney must also pass a
written examination, and be approved by a peer review process. Substantial continuing education is also required. This process ensures that attorneys having the designation are well qualified to handle family law matters. Fred has been certified as a family law specialist by the State
Bar of California.
Clients
Fred specializes in handling complex family law matters. Cases and clients are carefully screened and selected. Only a limited number of
cases are accepted so as to ensure that personal attention can be provided
to clients.
Facilities and Litigation Support
Through the assistance of a well-trained support staff, Fred enhances the
quality of service provided to his clients. In addition to secretarial support, paralegal services are used in routine matters which helps
minimize costs for clients.
Fred has a network of experts who assist in handling family law matters. Forensic accountants, appraisers, and psychological experts work hand-in-hand with Fred in bringing about superior results for his clients.
A state-of-the-art computer network, designed by Fred specifically for the practice of family law, allows documentation to be processed quickly and efficiently, and information to be readily at hand when required. This can
result in savings to clients when it comes to legal fees.
